Introduction
The purpose of this paper is to examine the history of alcoholism, where it began, what it has become and the policies of its consumption throughout history. The issue of prohibition lead also be explored and evaluated by different opinions and facts to find out whether or not it was a success. Furthermore a closer look will be taken at virgin breakthroughs in medicate as to how to treat alcoholism.
Discussion of findings
Alcohol (in the form of beer and wine) dates back end to well over ten thousand years. Though no one re entirelyy knows the exact origin it is believed to be the import of an accident. Hundreds of artifacts believed to be used for making and storing alcoholic beverages have been unearthed all over the world. It is also believed that beer came before wine based on those findings. Beer was used as a main staple; battalion would boil the nutrients out of the grains in order to preserve them longer. drink making probably started later on somewhere in the Middle East where grapes were plentiful. Alcohol was considered a gift from the gods by all of ancient societies and was used in various rituals and ceremonies.

Though the Egyptians used alcohol for pleasure, nutrition, medicine and rituals, drinking in excess was frowned upon.

They believed that alcohol consumed in moderation was a ethical drug from heaven and that the abuse of the beverage was considered vile and unacceptable.
