An identity is whatever makes or defines you as a soul. The way in which others identify you be through your characteristics and abilities. To alter an identity would mean ever-changing an thought of your demeanor so that others see you in a divergent light. Naturally, we as humans change our identity free-and-easy by changing something we do or embracing a new-fangled idea that either enlightens others around us or breaks us down to lower standards. You may be asking yourself; why would anyone change their identity after it has already been defined? This arrange is both easy and complicated. On a simpler note, when you think of individual taking someone elses identity, they atomic number 18 taking on characteristics of another person to make themselves look better. On a higher note, when you think of a person changing their identity, they are changing things within themselves, that they either dislike personally, or come int think fits in with societys behold of them. The next question that arrives would be: Who is this change of identity for, the person or others? In this essay I will be analyzing why students feel the need to change their identity upon the arrival of College, and what this means for a VSU student.




To begin with, an identity forms with life. Living and learn are the only two ways a person can begin to define themselves. Over time, things about you draw more defined and after a while they take a part of you. Morals and values that are instilled within you while growing up become the drive of your everyday actions. Therefore, most of the things about you were meant to be from the beginning. From that we could conclude, that the way in which peck define you was a predestined identity.
